My wife and I had been involved in a trade exchange for the past 6 years.
During this period we have grown accustomed to trading as means of getting goods. Having access to various things and services such as restaurant meals, window washing services, health and beauty products and services, printing, gardening, holidays, car maintenance and repairs, purchase and sale of vehicles, groceries supplies, florists, clothing, and jewellery. You name it we had it.
So why did we decide to leave and create our own?
Very simple – our former trade exchange became unaffordable to us. With cash charges for just about everything: Cash Joining fee, monthly membership fee, % of each trade (in each direction, so if we purchased something on trade, we would pay a %, and when we sold a service to pay for it, we would pay a % again).
This limited our trading abilities, as we were wary of the cash fees that we would need to pay at the end of each month. The more we traded, the more cash we’d have to pay. And if we didn’t trade for some time or couldn’t find a product/service on trade that we wanted we’d be punished a significant amount for “lack of trade”. Again, all these fees are payable in cash.
As times got harder and harder all over UK, we, together with many businesses found it more and more difficult to cope with the cash charges until the point when we had no other option but to pull the plug.
But, old habits die hard, as they say, and we started missing the little luxuries we had got used to getting on trade and would otherwise be unable to afford.
That’s when we decided to create our own Trade Exchange community that would help its members to get through hard times and make the best of their business allowing them to trade without worrying about how much cash they will have to pay at the end of the month.
We operate on a simple principle in everything we do, if the price is right, and service is spot on, we will get through this. So, at £5 a month for being a member, after your free 3 month trial to see if this is for you, that is all you will ever have to pay. Anything that you trade will be at your true cost and not taking your valuable profit away from you, but keeping it in your pocket.
